I spent around thirteen years bashing the phones before, in 2008, I thought there had to be a better way and I began my journey to learn direct response marketing.  

In the years I've been studying this approach to attracting leads and customers, I've successfully grown my own and others' businesses, and am extremely confident I can help you do the same.

I've spent over half of my career working with small businesses and start-ups, and with 4 businesses behind me, I know first hand exactly what kind of pressure you're under.

Whatever your sales and marketing challenges, I will have experienced them at some point in my career and when you are working with me, I'll do everything in my control to ensure you make more sales, get more customers, make more money and have a business you can be proud of.

I'm not going to sit here and say you'll make millions in the next few months and be able to sail off into the sunset on your new yacht.

That would be ridiculous.​

Instead, here's an example of a campaign I ran in 2019, including the results that are possible without spending any money and in a short period of time.

​In June 2019, I was working with a handyman company. 

They were in the situation that a lot of local businesses face.  The way people find them is through recommendations in local groups.​

Someone asks in their local Facebook group if anyone can recommend someone to do a specific job.  

Somewhere between 20 and 50 people recommend someone (often family members or themselves).  

There will be crossover, but it's a bit like piranhas at feeding time.

The customer has 10-20 companies to choose from, can get some of them round to quote and pick the one they like.

Whilst their choice might not always be the cheapest, it's very price driven.  They get so many quotes, the company that quote on quality appears expensive.

It needed a different approach, one that found people before the feeding frenzy started.

​I created a competition for them, offering 8 hours of free work to the successful entrant.

I believed if someone had work they needed doing, they would enter the competition to get it done for free.  If they don't win, they don't have to get the jobs done, they can leave them until they're ready.

​That's exactly what happened.

They promoted the competition (for free) in their local Facebook groups (meaning no paid ads and zero money spent on promotion).

​After 1 month of running the competition, they had 80 entrants (all new prospects to the handymen).

They chose the winner at random, who was very happy to receive her free work.

They added everyone to a follow up email campaign, which generated 30 new customers and over £8,000 worth of business in the following 3 months.​

(It's worth noting that the most successful email in that follow up campaign had just 25 words - sometimes less is more!)

The competition was so successful they haven't yet run it again, but it's there, in the background, if they need an injection of business in the future. 

That's a good use of time and money.

NOTE: Whilst these results are possible, I cannot guarantee the success of any specific strategy to increase your sales.  This is just one example of the type of campaign you'll learn how to set up and run as part of this programme.
